At my first IT job I would be sitting in the server room trying to coax the exchange server back to life after a BSOD. Every minute or so some helpful soul would pop in and say "You know email is down right?" I put a sign on the door that said "If you see me in here, I already know about it"

Well - some IT dudes advise you to specify the problem and send them E-mail - when you have E-mail problem...

Anyway my day at the Office Ends now and i lost +3 hours playing eve. A good excuse to hit the Pub now and get some beer, as booz was mention more than once today.

So again, arrived at next game after leaving earlier games for lag, disconnections and ever during updates.
Got me started for 3 months, and payed nicely to end up with another game that has no intrest in letting players
play their game, while they figure out where they ****** up with the update.

Honestly, I suppose it is my own fault for thinking that after spending so much money with the many thousands or
millions in which we play these games, and buying extra credits on a weekly basis for getting just a little more
ahead then others, that some of that money would be spend in creating a redundant server setup, where when
someone fucks up, you don't bother the players for hours of game time, because you ****** up installing a update.

Where has the game world gone, when fucks ups are more important then the users that keep games like this
running by paying for things that (in this case) might breakdown.

Oooohhh my god, 6 hours of downtime??? Your hosting an online game...


If it ain't broken, don't try to fix it, if it is broken, (THEN WHY HAVEN'T YOU FIXED IT YET)...

17:00 UTC - no update constipated gone to the too with pencil to try and work it out

With this unscheduled down time due to programming / hardware errors, how will this affect the perceptions of newbies, how will it affect revenue generation and lastly how will it affect the perception of the community that CCP provide a reliable and efficient MMORPG. The perception that CCP cannot overcome software issues will have certainly damaged their reputation, How are they going to overcome this . Maybe if CCP gave us regular updates into the situation they may alleviate our concerns, rather than letting speculation grow and more damage manifest itself. CCP Let us know what's happening.

Hey CCP, I know you've probably had an exhausting, frustrating day (other than the time you all ate some pizza to keep up your strength!) and I just wanted to say thanks for all the updates throughout the day. I was talking to a buddy about this and he told me that most game developers wouldn't post updates this often. I wish you all luck in fixing this. I help train noobs and losing a day's worth of isk is a big deal. Would you all consider possibly giving out some free skill points or isk to EvE pilots once this is fixed? Thanks again for all your hard work, I know its getting late over there....
